    If it's a status for something like messaging, it could mean that the person is not writing anything- inactive.

    Other possibilities:

    • Traditional command given by invigilators after an exam.
    • A command in Turtle Graphics - a popular beginners' programming language. (Well, popular about 35 years ago - there was an implementation on CPM, which dates it.).

    Bob, you might find it interesting to know that a bazillion years ago my brother was getting his doctorate at MIT and I got to play with the early, early Turtles. If was way cool.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    Wow Cool indeed! It was such a neat idea - I'm surprised there isn't a version that runs on the X-Box or PS2! (Maybe there is... ))
