    benefit me/him/John...?

    Please tell me whether both the following sentences are correct or only sentence B is correct. Thank you so much.

    A. The teacher's advice benefited me/John greatly.
    B. I/John benefited greatly from the teacher's advice.

    They are both correct.
    ('benefitted' in BrE)
