Hi! I'm an 8th grader and I have a quick question about diagramming and indirect object. Ex: She gave me the report. subect ] verb \ indirect object The indirect object go in the same spot as a direct object but instead of a straight line would I put a slanted line facing inward (<---)?? Thanks in advance, Anaka
I'm not exactly sure if I understand where you're putting it. It goes under with a slanting line. Here's the conventional way to diagram the indirect object (scroll down to number 12) http://webster.commnet.edu/grammar/d...one_pager1.htm
