Respected teachers please tell me which one is correct.

"Looking forward to seeing/meeting you" is correct. This is the preposition 'to' followed by the -ing form (gerund) of the verb. It can also be followed by a noun or pronoun. The other form is wrong.

The second, though it's not a complete sentence.

I am looking forward to meeting/seeing you.

I agree, if we are talking about full sentences. However, "Looking forward to meeting/seeing you" is very commonly used as closing words in an informal letter/message/text.

A text? Silly boy! C U soon. Not in MY texts, of course. Mine say things like "Can't wait to see you tomorrow!" instead of CU <3, but I'm old.

(A little piece of me dies inside every time I see "ur" in anything other than a text.)

Hear hear! I can't bear u/ur/sum1 etc even in text messages.

Sorry, I'm a bit thick and not used to texts. What's the meaning of <3 in CU<3?

Just like :) is a smiley face and :( is a frowny face when viewed sideways, <3 is a heart. CU <3 means that you'll be happy to see me.

Would you like to borrow my teen for a couple days? She'll have you up to speed in no time.

That's the symbol of a heart, thus it symbolises your kindness, your love towards the person to whom you're writing your message. (It can also mean that you are fond of whom you are talking about. Eg., "I've just watched an interview with Jessica Alba. <3" Incidentally, you can add more 3's for the emphasis: <333 )

PS: Barb was faster by a couple of (milli)seconds. :-D

She makes her own bed, scoops the cat boxes, and spends most of her time reading. Really, she's no trouble!

That she only does in texts. Her school essays are really well-written.

Sounds too good to be true. You must be a helluva mom! Or very lucky indeed. :-D

Full forms read better but when I text abroad or I'm in a hurry, I do whatever it takes to keep my message understandable but short, so "u" or "ur" sneak in there. However, I've never liked "<3" or going for "luv you". You just have to 'love' properly ;)

Well, maybe both. The other one doesn't make her bed, but she does make great cookies. Or at least she does when her mom isn't trying to lose weight.

God, I wish I had some cookies. :-(
