    What is performance apparaisal

    Hello everyone!
I am an old member, but I was absent on the board for a long time (my old account is dlotus but I don't remember my pass). I do not know if this might be room to ask questions about Performance appraisal. If I misplaced, I thanks to the administrator put in place. I'm learning about Performance appraisal but my english is not very good to read these specialized materials in English. Can you tell me a simple and easy way to understand about it ? The concept, purpose and use in organizations.
    Many thanks for your helping!

    Hello everyone!
I am a member but was absent for a long time (my old account is dlotus but I don't remember my password). I don't know if this is the right room to ask questions about performance appraisal in. If I misplace my post, thanks to the administrator for putting it in the right place.
I'm learning about performance appraisal but my English is not good enough to understand it. Can anyone suggest a simple, easy way to understand the concept, purpose and use in organizations of performance appraisal?
    Many thanks for helping!

Rating performance. Testing to learn the capabilities of an employee of the company which is running the performance appraisal.
Testing a system or new method to be used by the company or organization.
It's a way they find out what you can really do, Jenny.

In many U.S. organizations/businesses a performance appraisal is an annual review of an employee's performance in terms of his/her job description and most often is used upon which to determine if the employees deserves an increase in salary.

Performance = work done, appraisal = evaluation.
