    insurance - insurer

Is it possible to say: 'I changed my insurance.'? Meaning the insurance company. Or is only '... my insurer.' correct?

In the US, we would say, I changed my insurance carrier" or "I switched insurance companies"

    Re: insurance - insurer

If you say "I changed my insurance" it could refer to going to a different type of coverage with the same company, or switching companies.

If I went to the doctor, they would ask if my insurance was still the same, and i might say that my insurance had changed.
