    About some passive verbs

Is it right that there are some verbs that cannot be used in sentences as a progressive tense?

For example I heard that "hear", "want", "understand" and those verbs that don't represent physical action couldn't be use in progressive tense sentences.

    Thanks a lot

    Re: About some passive verbs

There are some verbs that are generally not used in the progressive form. The ones you name are examples. It doesn't always mean that it is impossible to do it, but that it is highly unusual.
