    get/have my blood drawn for...?

"I went to the hospital to get/have my blood drawn for a regular check-up."

Is this sentence correct? Thank you.

We don't usually bother with "my".

I went to hospital to have [some] blood drawn for a regular checkup.

As you can see, you also don't absolutely need the definite article before "hospital" either.

We also say 'I went to hospital for a blood test'.

Although that suggests that the blood test was done at the same time. You can go to hospital to get a vial of blood drawn and then take/send it elsewhere for the actual blood test.

In AmE, we go to the hospital.

Ah, OK, then another BrE vs AmE difference.

Now that we're on the subject of AmE and BrE, I would like to add that normally in BrE we say have blood "taken" rather than "drawn" if we're not part of the medical profession.

I'd use taken too- drawn sounds a bit like bloodletting to me.
