    Cool i was thinking

    Hello!

Can "was thinking" and "thought" be used interchangeably in this case, please? :

"For next week, I've prepared a presentation about our company because I thought/I was thinking you'd find it useful".

    Thanks a lot
    Will

    Re: i was thinking

I recommend you not use 'was thinking' in this case. Sounds like you were thinking it would be useful, but now maybe you are thinking something else.

In the context presented, either would be OK, but I would prefer simple past, "thought".
