    difficult to understand "is just as proud of.."

    But Alessi is just as proud of his flops.
    This sentence is difficult for me to understand.
    If it was just " Alessi is proud of his flops." I think I can understand it.
    Please simplify the sentence for me.

    "just as pround" = equally as proud of these as he is of something else. I assume that was discussed earlier.

    He is proud of his successes (I assume). But he is equally proud of his failures.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
