    "believe in" pharse

hi there: i need your help. the following sentence was taken from Henry Thoreau's essay "walking": "i believe in the forest, and in the meadow, and in the night in which the corn grows". my question is this: can we omit the "in" and change the expression as follows: "i believe in the forest, and the meadow, and the night in which corn grows"?
    thank you very much

Why do you want to change it? Grammatically it's possible, but Thoreau chose to write it like that.
