Cool Which I was thinking about? What I was thinking about?

Okay.. so it's pretty weird for me to even subscribe to a site like this(residing in the "good" ol' US and having spent the last.. almost 11 years of my life speaking English) but recently, I've become increasingly interested in grammar and the English language thanks to my American Lit. H's teacher.

The true morel to this story is, I'm utterly confused when deciding on what sounds more, "correct." I'm just going to type a fragment of the sentence I'm trying to write to spare you guys some nonsense.

"plays exactly which song I was thinking about" ... or,"plays exactly what song I was thinking about"...?

It'd be neat if it had it's roots more into old English.. but.. which one sounds more correct?
or can you write it out as either??

... the song I was thinking about. You don't need "what" or "which".

You can also say "the very song I was thinking about". No need to use "exactly".

Wow, thank you for the freaky deakie fast response, I truly appreciate it! I usually expect forums to take a while. I think I declare this thread closed. Its just rolls off the tongue a lot better. Anyone can feel free on how to make the fragment more interesting.. though I doubt it has to be :p
Go nuts, be creative! The sentence is for a blog thingy.

Re: Which I was thinking about? What I was thinking about?

I can't improve on "the very song I was thinking of."
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

Re: Which I was thinking about? What I was thinking about?

    Hi
I was wondering about it as well.

    Which one is correct?

Q:Do you want to sing a song?
    A: Yes

Q: Which song do you want to sing? or
What song do you want to sing?
