    Post note to mean

What does note something to someone mean as this example?

I noted Mark's rudeness to the old teacher who had spoken just before
    him.

    Thanks

"I noticed that Mark was rude to the old teacher..."
"I made a note of the fact that Mark was rude to the old teacher..."

"I noted" is not attached to "to the old teacher". It's "I noted / Mark's rudeness to the old teacher / who (the old teacher) had spoken just before him (Mark).
