    Which is the correct sentence?

    1. Do you know who the inventor of the camera is?

    2. Do you know who is the inventor of the camera?

    Which is the correct sentence? I think it is the first one.

    Of the two, I prefer the first, though both are possible.

    I'd probably say: Do you know who the inventor of the camera was?
    or: Do you know who invented the camera?
