- You freaked me out.
- You creeped me out.
I cannot understand if these verbs, which nearly mean the same, state different kind of fear...and whether they can be used in the same context...could help me with this?
You scared me = you made me frightened by saying or doing something scary or shocking.
You freaked me out = you actually made me feel that you or the thing you were talking about was freaky or extremely out of the ordinary
You creeped me out = what you did was creepy. That's not quite scary, it's mildly frightening, the sort of feeling that makes you feel uneasy and with a strange feeling in your stomach!
