    Locked threads

I have noticed that some threads are being locked after only one or two (or even 0) replies. Are we members allowed to know the criteria used to make such a decision?

    Thank you.

    Re: Locked threads

Certainly- a forum troll has made a number of accounts and been trying to cause trouble. While most of this will not have appeared on the site, some threads have been closed and some accounts closed. We're not trying to stop discussions, just clean things up. I apologise if it looks strange, but closing threads can be useful. For instance, I have shut some threads where questions were posted repeatedly. Some threads were closed that were posted by clone accounts of someone who was banned for posting pornography here and a celebration of the deaths of people of a particular nationality. Regardless of whether subsequent questions were relevant to our forum or not, I have shut those threads and banned the poster.
