For many participle phrases, we can decompose it to conjuction+subject+verb like the following.
ex1)Running for many hours, I got thirsty
=>As I ran for many hours, I got thirsty
ex2)Turning left at the corner, you will find the store
=If you turn left at the corner, you will find the store
But what about the following examples that can be found in numerous writings? They don't seem to carry any conjuction, but can only be described as "something ~ing". Is this an exceptional participle phrase hard to find its conjection?
ex)The idea of the Artist-Celebrity is perhaps especially indebted to one publication: Giorgio Vasari's Lives of the Most Eminent Painters, Sculptors and Architects.(Being) First published in 1550, and then in a revised and enlarged edition, (being) complete with portraits of the artists, in 1568, this lengthy study combined exhaustive biographical anecdotes with critical comments......
