I am trying to translate some Russian cultural terms into English. Here are they are:
lyceum (or lycee?) - in modern Russia it's a type of secondary school (with more specializations available for the students)
gymnasium - another type of secondary school, differs from a lyceum (licee) in that more emphasis is laid on humanities (I may be mistaken though)
Anyway, can anyone help me explain to foreign guests that "our university collaborates (may I say so?) with educational institutions of all levels (including secondary schools, lyceums, gymnasiums)" Will it be undestandable? Or shall I add some comment when interpreting? :-?
