    Exclamation Relevant translation

    Hello!
Would you please rewrite this sentense in a different way for me to understand the meaning:
"As is often the case, hindsight provides a clarifying perspective for the events which have occured in the areas of assessment and training"

Mostly I'm interested in the words "hindsight" and "a clarifying perspective".
    Thanks!
