    infinitive

    Hello,

Today I saw a sentence and I want to know whether It is used or not.
The sentence I saw is: 'My to do list'

My question is: Can we use it? Like this:

    a) Your to study English hard will be important for your future.
b)To study English hardf of yours will be important for your future.

    Thanks

    Re: infinitive

    Hi Johnn
    Welcome to UsingEnglish !
In your example, to do should have been hyphenated. "To-do".
It means "things I have to do": a list of things that I need to do.
    My "to-do" list.
So, no, neither question a) nor question b) would be correct.

    John

    Re: infinitive

Also, "My to-do list" is not a sentence.
