Will you join in/join the game?

We often say 'join the search/hunt'. Is 'join the game' good English too?

Thank you in advance.

'Join the game', 'Join in', and 'Join in the game' are all used. In the last one, 'the game' is usually not necessary, as the use of 'join in' implies that there's a game (or some kind of joint enterprise) and that that is what's being joined.
