Hi,

I wonder if somebody could help me. I've come across the following sentence:
Journalists add their own personal touch and analysis to present on local history and customs.
It is the preposition "on" that is intriguing me, since I'd never read it before and I can't find that it combines with the verb "prepare" in any dictionary.

Is that a correct sentence? Any help? Thanks,

You mean “[STRIKE]prepare[/STRIKE] present on”?

The writer of this particular sentence may have meant "to present news reports on.." in which case he/she omitted those words.

Obviously, the journalist/writer of the statement "added their own personal touch" by using "present". I wouldn't call it wrong, but I would prefer to use "to report on" which would be a common term in AmE and the various media.

It sounds OK to me, but I would use report on too.
