I would like to help you but your question is not clear to me.
    Would you please rephrase it?

    It doesn't have much meaning.

I write (or use) Excel macros to generate reports. That's clear.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    The fact is:

use excel macro to perform chains/series of actions & calculations to generate report.

I just try to emphaze "chains/series", not single

Surely a series of events is implied by the use of a "macro"? If it were only one calculation, you wouldn't need the macro.
