    Welcome to the forum, famamoudou.

We are very happy to help with problems, but a dictionary should be your first port of call when it comes to meanings of words. If you don't understand the dictionary definitions, we'll try to clarify them for you.

    NOT A TEACHER

    (1) The two teachers have given us excellent advice and links.

    (2) I know how confusing this matter is, for it confuses me, too.

    (3) I just wanted to share this with you. It comes from A Treasury for Word Lovers by Morton S. Freeman (1983).

    (a) Mr. Morton tells us that a person emigrates from; a person immigrates to.

(ii) His example: (I have changed the names of the countries)

An American emigrates from the United States and immigrates to Australia.
