    determine vs. consider

I'm not sure the differences between 'determine' and 'consider' something. Could someone give me the clarification?

    Welcome to the forum, sungpu.

We expect you to have consulted a dictionary before asking a question like this.

What part of the definitions do you not understand?

    Re: determine vs. consider

According to my dictionary (Oxford), there are many meanings of these words, but one of them is very similar as below:

determine (v.) = to decide definitely to do something.
e.g. They determined to start early.

consider (v.) = to think about something carefully, especially in order to make a decision.
e.g. He was considering what to do next.

    Welcome to the forums.

You consider something while you are still evaluating options.
Once you have made up your mind, you have made a determination.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
