    parioli

You sound (1) "just like us", (2) "Just like we do"
Instinctively I feel (1) is incorrect but sounds better, (2) is correct but ponderous.
    Grateful for enlightenment.

    Welcome to the forum, parioli

They sound the same to me.

(Please give your threads meaningful titles, such as You sound just like us.)

    Re: parioli

The second doesn't sound ponderous to me.

You sound just like we sound.

You sound just like we do.
I don't feel that the sentence is dull, laborious, or excessively solemn.
