have the chance to be considered for

    Hi,

    Question:
    Is the sentence grammatically correct?

    Sentence:
I hope that I will have the chance to be considered for a further stage in your selection process.

    Thanks

It's OK but it seems a little wordy. Theoretically, everyone has the chance to be considered for a lot of things, if they choose to apply. If there is an element of luck involved then yours is OK, although I would prefer:

"I hope to have the opportunity to be considered for the next stage of your selection process."

However, I would be more optimistic than that, and say:

"I look forward to being considered for the next stage of your selection process."
