    Question Sit-down dinner

My job involves booking venues/restaurants. What do you call the opposite of sit-down dinner, with people standing up because it is a sports bar? It's not buffet dinner because with buffet you just get your food from the buffet table and go back to your chair. It is not a reception style as the the menu includes the main course and dessert. What term should be used to describe it? Is there such a term as stand-up dinner?

    Thank you.

    Re: Sit-down dinner

What kind of main course are people going to eat standing up?

I don't think a "buffet" necessarily means that you have to sit down to eat.

"Finger foods" might be what you are looking for.
