Hello,

It is written about the language centered approach that “ the learners are simply used, as a means of identifying the target situation. In other words; Instead of taking the whole of English and teaching it to the learner, as happens in general English, only a restricted area of the language is taught”

And this was what I have understood from it:
“Teachers center upon the learner’s need, only a specific language or zone will be taught to students”
Can you please tell me whether what I have understood is right or false?! :-? Thank you in advance.

You say: "it is written".
Would you please tell us where the statement you quote is written? I would like more context before attempting to answer your question.
Thank you in advance,
John

Yes sorry Sir, I have forgotten to mention the source from which I have taken the paragraph, my bad  !!! Well, the first statement was written in English for specific purposes: a learning-centered approach by Tom Hutchinson, Alan Waters , page 67. And what is in green is what I did understand from it.

Yes, but I would change only a specific language to only specific language.
