    Visual dictionary

I am thinking of purchasing Merriam-Webster's Visual Dictionary. The online version is cool but the pictures are rather small.

Does anybody have it and what do you think?

    Re: Visual dictionary

Sounds like a good idea. There are two v. positive reviews here Amazon.co.uk: Customer Reviews: Merriam-Webster's Visual Dictionary: The First Visual Dictionary to Incorporate Real Dictionary Definitions
(They don't say very much, and online reviews are not the most reliable of sources). But words are a bit of an obstacle to language-learning, and pictures are a good way round it. I've attached a diagram containing my thoughts about it)
