There are several ways of reading £14.99 aloud.

Fourteen pounds and ninety-nine pence
Fourteen pounds, ninety-nine pence
Fourteen pounds, ninety-nine
Fourteen ninety-nine

For £14.09:

Fourteen pounds and nine pence
Fourteen pounds and nine.
Fourteen oh nine.

We never say "point".

My final suggestion in each list is probably the one you will hear most often in shops or from people just talking generally.

Note that emsr2d2 wrote the figures as '£14.99'. There is no space after the '£' sign.
