    The English pronoun sometimes pose a hard nut to crack to me. Please help with this:

    1) It is she
    2) It is her
    and

    1) It is he
    2) It is him

    #1 is the "correct" answer according to English grammar, but #2 is heard probably more often and seems more natural to most speakers.

    Most say "It's me" rather than "It is I," even if the "rules" state that you should use the subjective form of the pronoun with this verb.

    I have a slight diagreement with SoothingDave. I would say that #1 (in both cases) is formal English,and #2 (also in both cases) is informal English (and more common).
