Is any thing wrong with this sentence ?

Would you please send the different items through the post in small parcels?

    Is this sentence right?
Is it better to use package instead of parcel?

    Thank you in advance

I believe "post" is correct in BrE.

Americans get their mail from the US Post Office.

Britons get their post from the Royal Mail.
