    Exclamation storm,typhoon or....

    Hello everyone,
    Would you please tell me the difference between these words?

    1)typhoon
    2)storm
    3)hurrican
    4)tempest
    5)cloudburst
    6)cyclone
    7)gale

    Typhoon and hurricane are the same thing, but in different areas- Asia-Pacific has Typhoons, while the Gulf of Mxico and the West Coast of the US have hurricanes. A storm is high wind and heavy rain. A gale is a strong wind. Cloudburst is a period of heavy rain, and cyclone is a direction of movement.
