    From thereon in

During the first few Finnish classes the students learn bits of core vocabulary, the alphabet, and the numbers. Though interpreters help the young people during for instance visits to the employment office, it's all about language immersion from thereon in.

How else can you put that last sentence?
From thereon in is something new to me, any synonyms for that?

Umut, in my opinion from hereon in refers to from that point on or based on this or that. It also means following that immediately but that is a more archaic usage.
