Hello,

How natural is a sentence with 'very rarely/seldom' at the end?

(1) I very rarely use it. I very seldom see him.
(2) I use it very rarely. I see him very seldom.

I'd be grateful for some help,
Thank you.

Both positions are fine. My own feeling, confirmed by COCA, is that the end-poition is less common than the pre-verb position.

Thanks, 5jj. Would you say the same about 'seldom' and 'rarely' without 'very' precefing them?
I'm asking because I've just read that "seldom/rarely' are not normally found at the end of sentences". I guess normally is the operative word, but I've become quite suspicious lately about what they write in books.

COCA confirms that 'seldom' and 'rarely' appear at the end of sentences seldom/rarely. ;-)
