    Smile the usage of "would like sth to~"

    ->After my death I would like a former girlfriend notified.

    ->
    I have written my will, made a list of those to be notified after my death, wrote my obituary and requested in which newspaper I would like it printed.

    (i found these from an article written by an American.)

    Are the two sentences grammatical?

    I think these sentences must be changed into like “I would like a former girlfriend to be notified” and “in which newspaper I would like it to be printed.” Is my correction grammatically right?

    Anyway, I want to know whether or not the two sentences above are grammatically correct, and if they are right, does that mean people often omit "to be" after "like" when they speak?
