Load up on guns and bring your friends
It's fun to lose and to pretend
She's over bored and self assured
Oh, no, I know a dirty word

Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello...

With the lights out it's less dangerous
Here we are now entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now entertain us
A mulatto, an albino, a mosquito, my libido
Yeah! Yay! Yay!

What does "how low" mean in this context? What was the songwriter referring to?

I think you should ask the songwriter, it doesn't make any sense to me.

See if you can find words in Portugese that can suggest both the idea of 'hello' and 'how low'. If you can't, and the words are to be sung, then I suggest you ignore the 'how low' and simply use 'hello'. Lyrics are frequently adapted in translation to fit rhythm and rhyme patterns of the language into which they are being translated.

If the words are for subtitles, then translate 'how low' into Portugese and leave the viewers in the same position as native speakers - trying to guess what is meant.
