    How can I say..?

    Hello,

    I'm not sure if I ask some questions correctly.

    Is this the correct way to ask:

    "What country a daffodil is the symbol of?
    A daffodil is the symbol of Wales."

    Thank you.)

    * Not a teacher

    I would say:

    Which country has a/the daffodil as a symbol?
    Which country's symbol is a daffodil?

    "Of which country is the daffodil the symbol?" or "The daffodil is the symbol of which country?" or "Which country is the daffodil the symbol of?"

    Re: How can I say..?

    I'd use 'national flower' or 'emblem' rather than 'symbol'.

    Talking Re: How can I say..?

    I thank everyone for their answers.

    IsS there a big difference between using "a" or "the" with "daffodil" in this context?

    See attached scan please.

    Thank you.
