I have some problem abot the short story writing

Hello , I am pretty interest in short story writing and now my teacher give me a question and I have to write it. I have some questions about the question.

The question is "You are going to a writing competition organized by the British Council . The theme of the competition is 'Perseverance'. You can choose to write a fable , a romance or a detective story . Give your story a title."

I want to write a detective story , but it is very new to me .What should I pay attention to on this type of story? Also the theme 'Perseverance' is quite hard to write , any suggestion about it?
    Thank you

I was going to suggest perfecting your technique in your native language first, but I note that that's English. I agree with you about "perseverence". The whole task is beyond your level, as reflected in your post. I would advise you to keep practicing writing English, until you can write competently; and then think about writing stories.
If you want to write detective stories, read detective stories.
If your spoken English is much superior to your written English, and you can tell good stories orally, it may be easier. You simply need to find someone who can write adequately, and who is willing to put your ideas into written form.

As Raymott said, there are some issues with your written English which you would do well to concentrate on before thinking about writing a short story. If the written work which you hand in to your teacher is of the same standard, then I think your teacher has been rather optimistic in expecting you to be able to write a short story at this stage.

I have made corrections to your original post so that you can see why both Raymott and I are of the same opinion regarding your written English. There are errors with grammar, punctuation, usage and more. Please review the corrections I have made and see if you agree that perhaps a short story is a little beyond your capabilities at the present time. As Raymott said, if the problem is only with your written English but your spoken English is fine, then perhaps record your story digitally and have someone else type it up for you. You will have to tell your teacher that that is what you have done though.
