Is it correct to say "making lunch/dinner"?
e.g; I tried to make lunch.
... for the use of 'make' that means 'cook' or 'prepare'.
When, without further context, I saw the expression 'making lunch' I thought of a sentence such as 'I tried to make lunch, but the traffic was so bad that they were paying the bill by the time I arrived.'
