    Talking Ever and Never

    Hi
I have big troubles with "ever" and "never" in the present perfect tense.
Would you please explain the differences in details?

    Thanks :)

Think of never as not ever.

    Re: Ever and Never

Never Is Used In Negatine Sentences. Ever Is Used In Interrogatine Sentences. It Concerns Ofcourse Perfect Tenses. Good Luck.

    Re: Ever and Never

    Interrogative sentences?

    Ever:
Aren't you ever going to get it right?
I don't think I'm ever going to learn how to do it.
I don't think I'm ever going to get a promotion.
    Never:
    It never rains in California.
    It never snows in Charlotte.
It looks like I'm never going to get a promotion.

    Re: Ever and Never

I never, ever forget your gratidute.
    I never, ever hate you.
I never, ever cease loving you.

    EVER modifies NEVER.

    EVER modifies NEVER.
Sort of. The word ever in those sentences serves as an intensifier.

    (Say:
I never ever forgot your gratitude.
    I never ever hated you.
I never ever ceased (Stopped would be better here) loving you.
