    too much ... that

Would it be correct to say : I love him too much that it hurts?
Could 'too much' be used with 'that' as ' so much ..that'?

    No.

I love him so much [that] it hurts.

I love him too much [for my own good].

    Hi ma'am.
What is the relation between too much and for my own good?

Do you mean Too much can be used when one loves someone but his love doesn't hurt because it is for his own good?
I am a little confused , could you explain it in little detail?

    Thank you.

    Mind if I cut in?

    'Too much' - excessive

'my own good' - my actual or social or mental well-being

=> The extent of my love leads me to do (or fail to do) things that would be - in some way - good for me. ('His own good' doesn't come into it, and it does hurt.)
