    Get to like/know/understand somebody/something to gradually begin to like, know, or understand someone or something:

    It'll take a while for you to get to know everyone.

    After a while, I got to like him.

    My question is: Must we use this way with only the verbs such as know/understand or are there more verbs?

    No- you can get to see someone if it was diffcult to make an appointment, get to visit a place you have wanted to see for a long time, etc.
