    After having been

Hi all .. I want to know if the following statement is correct:
" we are enclosing your new order confirmation after having been revised by our production department. "

Is the part " after having been revised " correct?
    Do you have other suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: After having been

I think the following sentence is right.
" we are enclosing your new order confirmation revised by our production department. "

    Re: After having been

    NOT A TEACHER

    How about:

We are enclosing your revised order confirmation.

    ***** NOT A TEACHER *****

I think that your sentence is grammatically correct if you will add one little word:

We are enclosing your new order confirmation after its having been revised by

    our production department.

    No, it is not correct.

We enclose your new order confirmation which has been revised by our production department.

Please remember that when you use quotation marks, you put a space before the opening mark but not after it, and no space before the closing quotation mark, but you put a space after it. See my amendments to your post above to see what I mean.

On the obvious assumption that 'revised' is a typo for 'advised' (!), structurally possible, but periphrastic. The 'after' would be better replaced by a comma.

How come no one else thought that this was an obvious typo?
" we are enclosing your new order confirmation after having been revised by our production department. "
My assumption is that the production department revised the new order, and that they ("we")are enclosing the confirmation of the revised order. Yes, the original version does mean that it is "we" who have been revised, and that's an obvious error. But I dont think "revised" is an obvious error.

    Re: After having been

That was simply the way it struck me, but yes, I suppose that it could indeed be a simple grammar error rather than one of vocabulary...
