    False Pretense

"He took my money under false pretense."
"He took my money under false a pretense."
"He took my money under false pretenses."

How do I use "false pretense"?

    Re: False Pretense

    Welcome to the forum, Chicopee.

"He took my money under false pretense." X
"He took my money under false a pretense." X
"He took my money under false pretenses."

Being British, I'd spell the word 'pretences'
