    regain (his) consciousness?

    Which of the following sentences is correct or better? And why? Thank you so much.

    A. He did not regain his consciousness and died on Monday.
    B. He did not regain consciousness and died on Monday.

    B is more natural. The normal expressions are simply lose or regain consciousness.
