    Please help to correct.

    Hi

    I know we can say.

    I haven’t got angry.
    I have been upset.

    But may I say.

    I hadn’t got angry.
    I had been upset.

    Of course you can, both examples are possible in the right context.

    I havenít got angry. In the U.S. you would more likely hear, ".....gotten angry" but in your example probably also followed by "since.....", "about......"etc.

    No. You could say "I was upset when my mother visited" or "I had been upset before my mother visited".
