    land at/in

    I would like to know which preposition I should choose for the following sentence:

    'The French army landed at Nottingham or in Nottingham?

    Both prepositions can be used after to land, but in this case "in" is the right choice.

    That's true, I don't remember hearing of an airborne invasion of the east midlands though.
