    Wished/Wish He Had

    Hello, folks.
What is the difference between the following:

1.I wished he wouldn't have accompanied his ex-friend.
    2.I wish he wouldn't accompany his ex-friend.

    Thanks heaps..

    Re: Wished/Wish He Had

The first of your sentences is is incorrect. You need:

I wish he hadn't accompanied his girl friend. You regret that he did accompany her.
    OR:
I wish he wouldn't accompany his ex-friend. You regret that he does accompany her.

Incidentally, when we 'accompany' someone, we normally say where we are going with them. Perhaps you mean 'see' or 'go out with'.

Exactly so, 5jj. That is what I am after, indeed.
